Objektif

1.       Menyemarakkan suasana peperiksaan UPSR yang hampir tiba di persekitaran sekolah melalui kata-kata semangat dan motivasi yang ditulis pada banner UPSR.

2.      Meningkatkan motivasi dan keyakinan  diri murid dalam menghadapi UPSR serta sebagai tanda sokongan warga SKGP kepada mereka.

3.      Memberi semangat serta dorongan  kepada calon UPSR SKGP supaya terus berusaha untuk mencapai impian.

Kumpulan Sasaran     :Murid tahun 6 seramai 75 orang.

Laporan Pelaksanaan Aktiviti:

Majlis Pelancaran Banner UPSR 2016 peringkat sekolah telah dilaksanakan pada 1 Ogos 2016, Rabu bertempat di Dewan Iltizam. Majlis ini telah dirasmikan oleh Tn Hj Abdul Mubin B Ismail, Timbalan Pegawai Pendidikan Daerah Dungun.  Encik Mohd Azman B Ali, Pegawai FasiLINUS merangkap pegawai 1P1S SK Gong Pasir dan Tn Hj Hassan B Abdullah, Naib Yang di Pertua PIBG turut hadir bagi menjayakan program yang dianjurkan oleh pihak sekolah. Selain pelancaran banner UPSR, pihak sekolah juga melancarkan  Program 40 Hari Menjelang  UPSR 2016.

Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan doa oleh Ustaz Othman B Che Yusoff dan  diikuti dengan ucapan yang disampaikan oleh Tn Guru Besar, En Ahmad B Mohd yang membentangkan keputusan ujian percubaan UPSR . Selepas itu, Tn Hj Abdul Mubin B Ismail meyampaikan ucapan dan seterusnya merasmikan majlis dengan menggunting reben Banner UPSR 2016 sebagai gimik pelancaran.

Majlis diteruskan lagi dengan pemberian insentif kepada murid yang memperolehi  6A dan 5A oleh Tn Hj Hassan B Abdullah, NYDP PIBG. Seramai 3 orang memperolehi 6A dan 2 orang memperolehi 5A dalam peperiksaan percubaan UPSR. Insentif tersebut  telah disumbangkan oleh YDP PIBG, Tn Hj Zailani B Yaacob.

Pembacaan Ikrar Aku Janji diketuai oleh adik Muhammad Haris B Muhd Zakaria dari kelas 6 Ibnu Sina melafazkan bacaan ikrar dan diikuti oleh murid tahun 6 yang lain. Pembacaan ikrar dilakukan di hadapan Timbalan Pegawai PPD, Pegawai 1P1S, NYDP PIBG, Guru Besar, barisan GPK dan guru-guru  SK Gong Pasir.

Seterusnya adalah acara menandatangani  Banner Aku Janji oleh guru dan murid . Tn Hj Abdul Mubin B Ismail, Timbalan PPD Dungun memulakan upacara menandatangani banner tersebut dikuti oleh En Mohd Azman b Ali dan Tn Hj Hassan B Abdullah. Seterusnya Tn Guru Besar, barisan GPK, guru tahun 6 dan guru-guru yang lain turut serta menandatangani banner tersebut. Seramai 74 calon UPSR yang merupakan wira serta wirawati sekolah pada tahun ini juga diberi penghormatan untuk menandatangani pada banner tersebut sebagai tanda bahawa mereka berjanji akan berusaha untuk memperolehi keputusan cemerlang dan lulus semua mata pelajaran dalam UPSR 2016.

THE LAUNCHING OF PRESENT A SHORT STORY ( P.A.S.S.) PROGRAM

SK Gong Pasir Dungun launched a Present A Short Story ( P.A.S.S.) programme on Jul 27, 2016 at 11 am at the Dewan Iltizam, SK Gong Pasir.

The program was aimed at giving exposure to year 4 and 5 pupils on how to show their understanding of the the texts by telling the story orally. Besides it was also aimed at inculcating the reading habit and enhancing the pupils confidence to speak in public.

150 pupils from year 4 and 5 classes took part in the school english activity called P.A.S.S. The pupils  had a chance to practice using the language by taking part in a few langusge based activities which were planned according to their abilities.

The program was officially launched by PPD Dungun District Language Officer, Mr Hamdan Ismail and the pupils were pleased when Miss Kate from San Francisco, USA was able  not only to witness the launching of the program but to help facilitate the implementation of the activities.

Miss Kate who was SMK Seri Dungun English Teaching Assistant in 2012 was on her vacation to a few Asian countries and one of her destinations was Dungun, Terengganu, Malaysia.

We were truly impressed when she was willing to help us out without being paid. The credit should be given to the Ministry of Education, Malaysia for implementing  the ETA program and not forgetting Terengganu State Education Department for the placement of the ETAs which had strengthened the bilateral ties between the two countries Malaysia and the USA.

Tuan Hj Hassan bin Abdullah who is the PTA Vice Chairman was also present. His presence showed that PTA / PIBG had been giving full commitment in the shared efforts of carrying out any school activities which would help develop the future human capital of our country.

P.A.S.S. ACTIVITIES

i - RETELL THE STORY  ( 5 SINA VS 4 SINA – 6 contestants-3 from each class )

1.       The contestants from each class will take turn to retell the story (The Crow and the Pitcher) using their own words.

2.       The judge (Miss Kate) will reward marks accordingly using the adjudication form provided.

 ii- RETELL WITH PICTURE CUES ( 5 KHALDUN VS 4 KHALDUN ) 

1.       Each group will be given the same series of pictures of the story.

2.       In group, the contestants will have to rearrange and put the mixed pictures in the correct order of the story.

3.       Then, they will have to retell the story using their own words based on the series of pictures that have been arranged earlier.

4.       The judge (Miss Kate) will reward marks accordingly using the adjudication forms provided.

iii- CHINESE WHISPER GAME + DICTATION ( 5 NAFIS VS 4 NAFIS - In groups of 6-1 group from each class )

1.       The contestants sit in a straight line.

2.       The first contestant will have to memorize the 1^st sentence from the story in 1 minute.

3.       Then, she will have to whisper the words to the 2^nd contestant in 30 seconds.

4.       The same thing continues till the 6^th contestant.

5.       Then, the 6^th contestant will write the words he memorizes on the whiteboard to form a sentence.

6.       The 1^st step will be repeated until the time is up. (15 minutes  allocated for the whole game)

Majlis Temu Murni Pep Pertengahan Tahun 2016 Tahun 1 - 5, Motivasi Keibubapaan dan Pelancaran Aplikasi SYNC SKGP

On June 28^th 2016, Sekolah Kebangsaan Gong Pasir organised its annual ‘Temu Murni’ event to meet and greet the parents of the school’s students to discuss their academic and cognitive achievements. The event began at 10.00 am, where the first batch of early bird parents registered their attendance at the counter according to the student’s year and class. The registration went on without a hitch with more than 80% of parents attended the event throughout year 1 until 5.

The event started with the arrival of the honoured guest, Encik Mohd Azman B. Ali, LINUS officer representing Dungun District Education Officer and Prof Madya Ismail B. Hassan, Ketua Pusat Pengajian,  Gugusan Pengurusan dan Perniagaan, UiTM Terengganu. Encik Ahmad B. Mohd Ali, as the headmaster of the school, delivered the opening speech followed by the speech by Mr Mohd Azman who officiated the event. 

In his speech, he had mentioned about the overall aim of the SSM app, as the medium to lessen the communication gap between the school and the parents. It is also an approach taken to encourage an environmental friendly method of informing the student’s parents about the school activities or important notices, without wasting paper. Encik Mohd Azman B.  Ali ended his speech by signing the ceremonial banner and officially launching the SSM app usage in the school.

As the first half of the program completed, it was time for Prof. Madya Ismail B. Hassan to deliver his motivational talk. He touched on many topics within his talk but what stood out the most was the importance of parental support towards the student.

He talked about the impact of the parent’s involvement in school related events such as the ‘Temu Murni’, to show their support towards their child’s hard earn achievements and in his words “make time for your kids because time is flying fast before we even have the chance to miss it”. Prof. Madya Ismail ended his talk with slight humour before the MC called on the PDD to give a token of appreciation from the school and the parents were dismissed to proceed with the Temu Murni program.

PERTUKARAN GURU PRASEKOLAH

Puan Zarinah bt Zakaria yang telah mula bertugas di sekolah ini pada 16 Dis 2010 telah bertukar ke SK Batu 48 Dungun berkuatkuasa 2 Mei 2016 dan diganti oleh Pn Norhayati bt Alias yang sebelum ini bertugas di SK Balai Besar Dungun.

Puan Zarinah merupakan seorang guru yang berdedikasi yang telah banyak mencurahkan bakti terhadap perkembangan pendidikan prasekolah samada di peringkat sekolah mahupun daerah.
SKGP telah memenangi beberapa kategori pertandingan prasekolah dan di antaranya ialah Naib Johan Pertandingan Kebersihan dan Keceriaan Prasekolah Anjuran JPNT dan Yayasan Terengganu
( 2013 ), Pengurusan Prasekolah Terbaik Anjuran PPD Dungun ( 2013 ) dan Pengurusan Buku Rekod  PdP Terbaik sempena hari guru peringkat daerah Dungun ( 2014 ).

Seluruh warga SKGP mengucapkan selamat bertugas di sekolah yang baharu kepada Puan Zarinah dan mengucapkan selamat datang kepada Puan Norhayati bt Alias.
